Triple Crown of YoYo 2013 / 2014

Hey everyone!

We regret to announce that we will not be holding a Triple Crown of YoYo event in 2013. But it’s all good…we’ve just chosen to take the year off to allow Triple Crown organizer André Boulay and his wife Devon to concentrate on the birth of their first child, who is due right when the contest would have been held. Congratulations, you two!

Without André, the quality just wouldn’t have been as high as it should be and one thing we absolutely insist with the Triple Crown of YoYo is bringing you the highest quality event possible. So we’re passing on 2013, and immediately beginning work on the 2014 event!

And we’ve confirmed a new venue for Chicago 2014…the event will be held at Navy Pier!

Navy Pier is the place where all of Chicagoland and tourists from around the world have come together since 1995 to enjoy the beauty and the thrills of a day on Lake Michigan. SHAG “Goin’ Places” Exhibit @ Rotofugi (12.7)

The above image pretty much says it all…Shag will be back at Rotofugi for a new show called Goin’ Places opening Friday, December 7, 7-10pm!

Josh (Shag) will be at the opening and signing for fans from 7-8pm, plus we’ll have snacks by Sweet Myrtille and beats by DJ Sean Doe.

The exhibit will feature new paintings plus an extensive selection of Shag AP prints, and yes, the release (most likely via pre-order) of a new Shag toy produced by Squibbles Ink + Rotofugi…more details on that to come soon. If you can’t make the opening the show will be on display through January 6, 2013…and, as always, members of our Gallery Previews List will get first opportunity to purchase new works (but not the toy) so sign up now if you’re not already on the list. New Rotofugi T-Shirts

It’s been a while since we last did new rotofugi t-shirts, but we’re back with three fresh new designs!

First up is everybody’s favorite angry rabbit, Rabburt (from the Tinder Toys). In the middle we’ve got a Chicago flag inspired ‘Pirate Abe‘ design. And last, but not least, our good friend Peabe gave us his take on Abe for a Finally Hip x Rotofugi collaboration.
